Take Your Time

The thing I have been working really hard on lately is trying to post regularly on my Facebook page and write blog posts.  That is always easier said then done, because I worked a few extra hours at my part-time job last week.  I was busy getting ready for all my art events in April and trying to make sure I told as many people about them as I could.  The thing I had to remember while getting everything prepared was that I had time and not to rush.  I have been dog and house sitting, helping my mom with her new puppy, and getting back into my routine of art in the morning along with exercising.  With Memorial Day coming up I have been thinking about a chance of once again seeing one of my favorite places and taking photographs in North Carolina while hiking.  I have also been discovery some new places around my hometown to take photographs with the help of acquaintances I met at the camp I attended for many, many summers.
Besides all of that I wanted to let all the avid blog readers out there who read Buzzfeed or Thought Catalog and get these wonderful ideas about traveling all over the world.  Maybe, you are even thinking that you have not done as much as those writers.  Let me tell you I might have started a business right after college so I could do what I wanted to do in photography, but the thing I have learned since graduating college is the world is HUGE.  That you can TAKE YOUR TIME, there is no time like the present.  So I made a list of all the things I have accomplished and it is way more than I thought I had.  I also emailed my close friends and families about 'What they wish they knew when they had turned 25.'  This has helped me so much this year in taking every opportunity I have and turning it into something.  I am not saying you need to wait to travel at all, because let's be honest my goal is to one day travel the world as a Travel Photographer.  I am saying do not rush life, enjoy it, learn, and experience everything in front of you.  That is what I have been trying to do this year and this past week while I was given the opportunity to take photographs on the roof of a building!  For me, that was pretty breath-taking and rewarding, because I felt like I was on top of the world.  Now here are a few photographs from that experience.

Thank you so much for reading and always please follow Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter for more updates.
